Job description

Job Title: CDL Driver

Responsible for loading, transporting, and delivering materials to customer sites. Operates a delivery vehicle and/or trailer combination to transport materials. Must have a CDL license and meet specific vehicle weight requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist customers with unloading materials safely and accurately, protecting products and property.
2. Use a hand-held device (except while driving) to ensure compliance with DVIR and HOS regulations.
3. Verify order details, maintain logs of deliveries including amounts, weights, mileage, and locations. Check items against invoices for accuracy.
4. Serve as a customer service liaison, handle concerns, and resolve issues.
5. Maintain service logs and perform pre/post trip inspections.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 21+ years old with a valid Class B CDL license.
• At least one (1) year of driving experience; CDL experience preferred.
• Ability to pass MVR report and obtain a DOT medical card.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Skills:

• Knowledge of safety procedures in driving and material handling.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read maps, routes, and road signs.

• Basic math and measurement skills.

Work Environment & Physical Activity:

Work is performed in a production environment with temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, noise, and dust. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 200 pounds with assistance. Ability to operate crane equipment and perform physical tasks as required.
