Purpose

Responsible for driving delivery vehicles and/or operating truck-trailer combinations to transport and deliver materials to customer sites. Adheres to safety and compliance regulations, delivers goods on schedule, and provides professional customer service. Vehicles may weigh over 26,000 pounds and tow trailers under 10,000 pounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Load or assist with loading and securing products inside delivery vehicles.
• Deliver customer orders, maneuver vehicles into loading/unloading positions, and assist customers with unloading safely and accurately.
• Verify order details, maintain logs, and check items against invoices for accuracy.
• Act as a customer service liaison, handle concerns, and resolve issues.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform safety checks.
• Use handheld devices for compliance, except while driving.
• Maintain hours of service logs and perform pre/post trip inspections.
• Perform credit or product return pickups and related paperwork.
• Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment as needed.
• Observe safety procedures to prevent injuries and attend safety meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, valid driver’s license, Class B CDL, at least 1 year of delivery driving experience (2 years preferred).
• Pass MVR report and obtain a DOT medical card.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to read and speak English.

Work Environment / Physical Activity

• Work in a production environment with temperature variations, chemicals, noise, and dust.
• Lift up to 100 pounds frequently; up to 200 pounds with assistance.

• Operate delivery vehicles physically and safely.
