Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Class B Driver to operate a straight or box truck, delivering products to customer sites. You will unload goods, verify orders, and perform related warehouse tasks when not delivering. Safety-first mindset and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds are essential.

The position offers 1st shift hours (4:00am start) with comprehensive benefits starting after 60 days, plus vacation, sick leave accrual from day one, and holidays after 90 days. A valid CDL-B is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and move pallets weighing up to 75 pounds.

The Class B Driver drives a straight truck, box truck, or other appropriate vehicle to transport food staples and specialty products to various customer locations.

• Pay rate: $28.25 per hour.
• Schedule: 1st Shift; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 4:00am start time.

What you’ll do as a Class B Driver:

• Operate a straight truck, box truck, or other appropriate vehicle to convey products to customer sites.
• Unload and place all products in customer-designated food-safe storage areas.
• Perform warehouse-related duties when not making deliveries.
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a Class B Driver Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class B commercial driver's license (CDL-B).
• Lift and move product and pallets which may weigh up to 75 pounds.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
