Purpose

Responsible for driving delivery vehicles and/or operating truck-trailer combinations to transport and deliver materials to customer sites. Adheres to driver safety/compliance regulations, delivers undamaged goods on schedule, and provides professional service to customers. Drives vehicle weighing greater than 26,000 pounds and may tow vehicles or trailers greater than 10,000 pounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Load or assist with loading and securing product, materials, or supplies inside delivery vehicle.
2. Deliver customer orders to specified delivery site, maneuver vehicles into loading/unloading positions, and assist customers with unloading safely and accurately.
3. Verify order details and maintain logs of delivery duties, including amounts, weights, mileage, and locations. Check items against invoice for accuracy.
4. Act as a customer service liaison, handle concerns, and resolve issues.
5. Maintain cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles; perform routine safety checks.
6. Use handheld devices (except while driving) to ensure compliance with DVIR and HOS.
7. Maintain hours of service logs and perform pre/post trip inspections.
8. Perform credit/product return pickups and related paperwork.
9. Operate forklift or non-motorized handling equipment to load and unload materials.
10. Observe all safety procedures, attend safety meetings, and suggest improvements.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, valid driver’s license, Class A CDL, minimum 1-year delivery driving experience (2 years preferred).
• Pass MVR report and obtain DOT medical card.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to read and speak English.

Work Environment / Physical Activity

• Work in a production environment with temperature variations, chemicals, noise, dust.
• Lift up to 100 pounds frequently; with assistance, up to 200 pounds.
