Qualifications

Class A Driver

Summary

We are looking for dedicated and professional Class A Drivers to ensure the safe and timely transportation of goods to our stores and distribution centers. The ideal candidate is a reliable and experienced driver with a clean record, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely following DOT regulations, company policies, and regulations.
• Inspect loads for safe transportation.
• Drive commercial vehicles to pick up and transport goods to designated locations, meeting scheduled appointments and DOT regulations.
• Ensure placarding of the vehicle meets DOT regulations.
• Maintain paperwork, including expense reports, timesheets, vehicle inspection reports, manifests, and job sheets.
• Inspect equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Secure cargo prior to and during transit.
• Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered or recommended.
• Operate loading, storing, and securement devices including pallet jacks, forklifts, power pallet jacks/riders, and moving-related equipment such as dollies and lift levers to load and unload supplies, freight, foods, material, equipment, and mail.
• Ensure that health and safety is the top priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting safely at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by managers.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class A Driver License without restrictions or limitations, and a current DOT Medical certification.
• Ability to pass a road test (manual trucks).
• At least one year of a satisfactory driving record from the California Department of Motor Vehicles.
• 1–2 years of driver experience in warehouse, logistics, or shipping.
• Must possess the ability to read, understand, and communicate verbally in English.
• Experience in handling product barcodes preferred.
• Experience hauling reefer trailers preferred.
• Experience with pallet jack and forklift preferred.
• Experience backing 48’–53’ trailers, including in tight spaces and to dock doors.
• Bilingual in English/Mandarin or English/Spanish preferred.
• Available to work on weekends, holidays, or rotating schedules.
• This position must pass a pre‑hire background check and DOT drug test.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Physical Requirements

• May require standing or walking for extended periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and performing repetitive motions.
• Prolonged sitting while driving long distances.

Working Conditions

• Environment may have exposure to heat, noise, and other environmental factors.

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 7:45 am – 3:15 pm
• Available to work on weekends and holidays as necessary.
