Clean Harbors in San Jose, CA is seeking a Local Class A Dry Van Driver to join its safety-conscious team. This local route operates in San Jose, CA with daily home time and totals roughly 50–60 hours per week. Shift: 10 AM-9 PM, Pay: $30/Hr.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements required.

Responsibilities

• Operates tractor trailer units and other vehicles.
• Ensures proper loading and unloading and secures loads.
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, and trip reports.
• Placards vehicle per DOT requirements/regulations.
• Adheres to weights and unit utilization.
• Maintains vehicle inspection reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer units and other vehicles
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements (Required)
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
