Job summary

NOVO Health Services is hiring a Class A CDL Driver for our Atlanta Healthcare Laundry facility. You will collect carts, load deliveries, and transport clean and soiled linen while following DOT and OSHA safety rules.

You will coordinate with Transportation and Plant leadership and work rotating shifts in a busy, fast-paced environment. We offer comprehensive benefits and paid time off to a full‑time associate, with opportunities for growth and ongoing process improvements in a safety‑driven

Qualifications

• High School Education, GED and formal education / training preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or service industry.
• Previous experience as a Driver required.
• Ability to work in a noisy fast paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds during loading and unloading of truck.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and reach during loading/unloading.

Responsibilities

• Collect finished carts and roll the carts from Load Building area to back dock.
• Load the delivery truck by pushing the carts onto the back of the appropriate truck.
• Deliver clean linen products to customers.
• Transport soiled linen back to plant.
• Follow all federal, state, and local requirements according to D.O.T. rules and regulations.
• Follow all OSHA rules as applies to blood borne pathogens.
• Coordinate daily activities with Transportation, Plant Managers, and Team Leaders.
• Must be able to adapt to change and unscheduled events.
• Maintain vehicle, preventative maintenance, cleanliness, and disinfecting after transporting soiled linen.
• Will work rotating shifts.
• Understand, observe and adhere to all safety procedures and policies.

Job Requirements

• Class A CDL required.
• Clean driving record.
• High School Education, GED and formal education / training preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and the willingness to learn new computer applications.
• Good analytical skills to be able to determine number of carts required for orders.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or service industry
• Previous experience as a Driver required.
• Ability to work in a noisy fast paced environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and reach for individual items for long periods of time during loading and unloading of truck.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds during loading and unloading of truck.
• Constant reaching for individual items and stacks of items during loading and unloading of truck.
• Ability to push or pull a cart that may weigh 300-400 pounds for up to 60 yards.
• Demonstrated customer service and organization skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to work in and out of weather conditions.
