Job summary

The Freeman Company is seeking a Driver - Class A to support the safe transportation of equipment for events. You will travel between warehouses, venues, and customer locations, ensuring on-time deliveries and compliance with transportation regulations.

Qualified candidates have 1+ year of commercial driving experience, a valid Class A CDL, and a clean driving record. The role requires travel and a focus on teamwork, safety, and customer service.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old to apply.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Class A CDL license in good standing.
  • Minimum one (1) year of commercial driving experience required.
  • Experience transporting event, production, or commercial equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport equipment to and from warehouse facilities, event venues, and customer locations.
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment in accordance with company and DOT requirements.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and operate company vehicles safely and professionally.
  • Ensure timely pickup and delivery of all assigned shipments and equipment.
  • Complete required logs, inspections, and transportation documentation accurately and on time.
  • Communicate shipment status and transportation activities with warehouse, operations, and event teams.
  • Support warehouse operations and equipment handling as needed.
  • Promote teamwork, safety, and operational excellence across all departments.
  • Assist with training and mentoring team members when required.

Summary

The Driver - Class A plays a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of events by safely transporting equipment between warehouses, venues, and customer locations. This position is responsible for ensuring on-time deliveries, maintaining compliance with transportation regulations, and supporting operational excellence through strong teamwork, communication, and customer service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Education & Experience
  • Must be at least 21 years of age in order to apply to this job.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Class A CDL license in good standing.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must have a valid Driver's license for vehicles 26,000 pounds and less.

Must have or have the ability to obtain Department of Transportation Medical Certificate.
