Job summary

Pacific Coast Fresh Company in Boise, ID is seeking a full-time delivery driver to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, deliver fresh produce to customers, and pick up orders from vendors. You will operate pallet jacks and company vehicles, maintain safety and professionalism, and handle 4–5 stops per night.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate a commercial vehicle and hold the required class of license
• Customer service experience is preferred
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
• Ability to operate an electric pallet jack safely
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to fill out manifests, credits and inspection sheets and driver logs on apps
• Must be able to work holidays if needed
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stack/unstack pallets
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, lift and maneuver during delivery routes
• Knowledge of produce types and quality is a plus

Responsibilities

What you'll do

• Do a complete pre-trip inspection of the vehicle
• Deliver product to customers, checking pallets tags to assure delivery to right location
• Pick up product from vendors if needed and check orders for accuracy
• Upon completion of route return to Boise depot and do a post-trip inspection
• Operate and monitor all equipment professionally and safely including manual and electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, and vehicles
• Must maintain a professional demeanor with speaking with employees, customers, and management
• Drivers typically have 4 to 5 stops per night
• Other duties may be assigned

What we look for

• Ability to safely operate a commercial vehicle equivalent to the class of license the driver currently holds
• Customer Service experience

• Be able to properly fill out a manifest, credit, and inspection sheet and drivers log on apps

• Knowledge of produce types and ability to determine quality a plus (but not required)
