Job summary

Up To Date Laundry, Inc. seeks an experienced CDL-A tractor-trailer driver to reliably transport hospital linen to client locations and collect soil for processing.

The role requires coordinating with hospital staff and customer personnel to ensure on-time deliveries and pickups, while maintaining safe, compliant vehicle operations. Position Summary

Position Involves physically driving tractor-trailer vehicles to transport and deliver hospital clean linen as well as pick up soil to the company customer location for processing.

Responsibilities
  • Driving tractor-trailer vehicle to transport and deliver hospital linen to the company's customers.
  • Interacting with personnel at customer locations.
  • Moving carts of linen on and off company vehicles.
  • Performing pre & post-trip inspections and entering them into Samsara under DVIR's.
  • Responsible for job-related duties as assigned.

Work Experience Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to adapt to job duty and department changes as required.
  • Ability to pass Green Security screening.
  • Must be DOT certified with a current Class A CDL.
  • Two years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience and or switching experience within the past three years.
  • Must be able to back 48 ft & 53 ft trailers proficiently.
  • Driving record (MVR) must be acceptable.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand at their workstation at least 8 hours per day or more if needed, walk throughout the plant, use their arms and hands to reach and grasp carts of linen to move them on and off of company vehicles, talk and communicate to co-workers and supervisors, and visually recognize certain items about the load/cargo on company vehicles. The employee must constantly push carts of linen weighing anywhere from 60 lbs. to 600 lbs. on and off company vehicles and throughout the plant daily.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to extreme heat during the summer months and a cold climate during the winter months. The air quality is subject to lint from the linen all year round as well as fumes from company vehicles while working around them.
