Position Purpose: The Driver is responsible for delivering heavy machinery and equipment within a local area, ensuring safe loading, unloading, and timely delivery, while complying with all laws.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

• Deliver machinery and equipment to designated locations
• Ensure proper loading, securement, and safety of loads per guidelines
• Instruct customers on safe equipment operation
• Perform pre-delivery and pre-pickup inspections
• Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance
• Keep trucks clean and well-maintained
• Complete daily inspection reports
• Prioritize safety and participate in safety meetings
• Maintain necessary training and certifications
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Knowledge & Competencies:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Thorough knowledge of equipment and operations
• Good communication skills

Experience & Education:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Class A CDL
• 1+ years in forklift or related industry (preferred)
• 2+ years of commercial driving (preferred)

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, twisting, bending
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Availability for 24/7 on-call schedule
• Local travel to customer sites
