Job summary

Fortune Fish & Gourmet is hiring a Driver Check-In Associate in Bensenville, IL. The role handles inbound driver paperwork, verifies product accuracy, and maintains inventory records. It is the first point of contact for drivers and supports the Accounting, Inventory, and Warehouse teams.

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years in food production. Must lift up to 50 pounds, work in a cold environment, and communicate in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Education – High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience – One to two years of related experience in food production.
• Work ethic – A sense of urgency in meeting critical and time-sensitive deadlines.
• Language – Basic English and Spanish speaking and written proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist inbound drivers in a professional and timely manner.
• Verify Return Sheets are completed correctly and Invoices.
• Receiving & Inventory Accuracy.
• Report shortages, overages, damages, substitutions, and discrepancies immediately.
• Create and maintain return records and support documentation.
• Assist Inventory Control with investigations regarding receiving variances.
• Documentation & Recordkeeping.
• Maintain organized files of all return documentation.
• Ensure all paperwork is processed accurately and submitted on time.
• Communication & Coordination.
• Food Safety & Compliance.
• Verify product temperatures and condition upon arrival when required.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, HACCP, GMP, and company quality standards.
• Ensure products are handled according to company and regulatory guidelines.
• Warehouse Support.
• Assist with inventory counts as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
