Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a CDL Driver in North Carolina to safely operate 26-ft box trucks and 53-ft tractors on local routes, delivering goods and returning home daily.

You will conduct pre-trip inspections, communicate with dispatch, and help maintain our high safety and on-time delivery standards while supporting daily operations. This role offers shift differential and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• CDL experience of at least 6 months operating the required equipment within the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Current valid CDL A and acceptable MVR; Hazmat/Tanker endorsements if required.

Responsibilities

• Operate 26-ft box trucks and 53-ft tractor-trailers as needed.
• Touch freight and ensure safe handling.
• Drive safely and follow all safety policies.

About The Role

As a CDL Driver, you’ll not only drive our equipment, but you’ll also drive our success! You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, on-time delivery of goods for our customers, running local routes that get you home daily. Responsible for safely transporting materials between company facilities and ensuring timely, accurate movement of products and equipment to support daily operations.

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

• Operate both 26-ft box trucks and 53-ft tractor-trailers in and around the site and on public roads as needed.
• Touch freight position
• Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices
• Perform routine inspections
• Communicate effectively with dispatch

What You’ll Need To Succeed At GXO

At a minimum you’ll need:

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) experience operating the same type of equipment needed for this position, or larger, in the last 3 years
• Must be at least 21 years old
• A current valid CDL A driver’s license and an acceptable MVR
• Appropriate additional endorsements for Hazmat and Tanker (if required)

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
