Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a CDL Class A Driver for home daily shifts, operating locally to ensure safe, on-time deliveries. The position runs Monday through Thursday from 10:00pm to 8:30am, with overtime after 40 hours.

The role emphasizes safety, inspections, and clear communication with dispatch, supporting GXO’s high standards of service. You’ll drive tractors and box trucks, touch freight, and maintain a clean driving record while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• 6 months of CDL experience operating the same type of equipment or larger in the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• A current valid CDL A driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors pulling 53-foot trailers and box trucks locally.
• Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Drive safely and follow dispatch instructions.
• Ensure on-time deliveries to GXO customers.

Pay rates starting at $30.00 plus $2.00/hr Shift Differential pay and overtime pay available after 40 worked hours per week.

About the role

As a CDL Driver, you’ll not only drive our equipment, but you’ll also drive our success! You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, on-time delivery of goods for our customers, running local routes that get you home daily.

What you’ll do on a typical day

• Drive tractors pulling 53-foot trailers and box trucks in and around the site or on public roads
• Touch freight position
• Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices
• Perform routine inspections
• Communicate effectively with dispatch

What you’ll need to succeed at GXO

At a minimum you’ll need:

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) experience operating the same type of equipment needed for this position, or larger, in the last 3 years
• Must be at least 21 years old
• A current valid CDL A driver’s license and a safe driving record

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
