Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a CDL Class A Driver – Home Daily to join our team. This traveling position involves local routes and potential travel to cover sites nationwide.

You will drive our equipment, ensure safe on-time deliveries, and support site startups or revenue/expense initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• CDL experience operating the same equipment or larger within the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid CDL-A license and clean MVR.
• Ability to drive 53ft tractor trailers and handle no-touch freight.

Responsibilities

• Drive 53ft tractor trailer in and around the site or on public roads.
• No touch freight position and safe driving per policies.
• Perform ride-alongs, road tests and site audits as required.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and communicate with dispatch.

About the role

As a CDL Driver, you’ll not only drive our equipment, but you’ll also drive our success! You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, on-time delivery of goods for our customers, running local routes. Travel across the country to help cover sites for vacations, be part of the launch team for new site start-ups, work at a different place every week or help support the site you originally come from in revenue generation or expense control.

What you’ll do on a typical day

• Drive 53ft tractor trailer in and around the site or on public roads
• No touch freight position
• Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices
• Perform driver ride-along reviews, conduct road tests, do site audits and more
• Perform routine inspections
• Communicate effectively with dispatch

What you’ll need to succeed at GXO

At a minimum you’ll need:

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) experience operating the same type of equipment needed for this position, or larger, in the last 3 years
• Must be at least 18 years old
• A current valid CDL A driver’s license and an acceptable MVR

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
• 1 million accident free miles
• 5 years of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) class A experience
