Job summary

Orgill, Inc. is seeking a Professional Delivery Driver to support its nationwide distribution network. The role requires a Class A license with HazMat endorsement, a clean driving record, and the ability to manage DOT logs and related paperwork.

You will deliver and unload merchandise to customer stores, complete required documentation, and assist in other duties as needed. Occasional overnight stays may be required while maintaining a strong safety culture and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A commercial driver's license with HazMat endorsement.
• Two years of tractor-trailer driving experience preferred, including double trailers.
• Ability to perform DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete logs/manifests.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and unload hardware merchandise to Orgill, Inc. customers.
• Complete required paperwork (DOT logs, manifests, trip reports, fuel reports).
• Maintain safety and customer service standards on the road and at delivery points.
• Rotate with other duties as needed and support supervisor directions.

Primarily responsible for the support of the DC by efficiently delivering hardware related merchandise to Orgill, Inc. customers. The Delivery Driver also picks up customer returns and empty totes and transports them to the DC.

Specific Responsibilities

• Must understand DOT regulations and safety related functions.
• Must be able to perform Pre-Trip and Post-Trip functions.
• Must be able to deliver and unload merchandise at customer stores, by hand when necessary.
• Must be able to complete all required paperwork (DOT logs, Manifests, Trip Reports and Fuel Reports)
• Must be familiar with the E-Log system.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must understand how to manage customer merchandise in a timely and safe manner.
• Must be able to direct traffic in the event of an accident or break down.
• Must be able to climb in and out of the cab of truck several times per day.
• Ability to take direction from Supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.*
• Ability to rotate and assist in other jobs.*

Required Position Qualifications

• Must possess a current Class A license and HazMat endorsement. Doubles required.
• Must have past two years minimum tractor driving experience. Preferably experience pulling double trailers.
• Must be willing and able to work as needed – minimum of two nights overnight may be required.
• Must have excellent driving history.
• Must be committed to a high standard of safety and willing to comply with all safety policies/practices.
• Good comprehension skills
• Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management
