What You’ll Do

As a Driver at Divert, you will be responsible for all CDL driving needs at our Albany location, along with daily tasks, leadership responsibilities, and improving communication across departments, including educating on logistics processes.

Shift Available: Fri-Sat, Mon-Tue (WThSu OFF), 5am start time

This is a safety-sensitive position requiring diligence and a clear mind. You are responsible for your safety and others’.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A vehicles in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Maintain daily truck logs using an Electronic Logging Device (ELD).
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting issues.
• Perform physical tasks such as connecting/disconnecting air and electrical lines.
• Install tire chains as weather conditions require.
• Complete trailer movements and swaps at the facility.
• Coordinate with logistics and production teams for smooth operations.
• Handle shipment paperwork.
• Fuel vehicles with a company-issued fuel card; manage emergency fueling and report mechanical failures.
• Optimize routes for efficiency.
• Perform occasional forklift duties and other varied tasks.

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Class A CDL (no automatic restriction).
• At least 2 years of driving experience, including dry van hauling.
• Dumping experience preferred.
• Tanker endorsement required.
• Familiarity with slip seating preferred.

This position is overtime eligible over 40 hours/week; overtime may be required to ensure business continuity.
