Job summary

White Cap is seeking a CDL A Driver to deliver products to customer jobsites across the Northeast, including Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York and New Jersey. This role involves operating a variety of vehicles and maintaining safety and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• CDL A license with required endorsements.
• Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver to customer jobsites across the Northeast including CT, MA, RI, NY and NJ.
• Coordinate and deliver products to customer jobsites.
• Deliver intercompany transfers on overnight runs.
• Operate multiple vehicle types (pickup, van, 16’ box, 26’ straight truck, tractor trailer).
• Follow DOT maintenance schedules and safety inspections.
• Ensure manifests and all paperwork are accurate.
• May assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment.

AUtility CDL A Driver at White Cap…

Requires a highly flexible schedule. Daily Start times vary from 12:00am to 11:00am

See the sites of the North East: Deliver in multiple states including Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York and New jersey

Coordinates and delivers products to customer jobsites.

Deliver intercompany transfers on overnight runs.

Multiple types and sizes of vehicles used, pick-ups, vans, 16’ box trucks, 26’ straight trucks, and tractor trailers

Follows DOT regulations in accordance with vehicle maintenance and operates with a strong sense of safety.

Ensures that manifests and all paperwork are accurate.

May assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment.

Has a minimum of one year of CDL Driving experience and required state license.

Performs other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Have a current Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state in which the candidate resides with all the relevant endorsements required for the type of equipment being operated (i.e., Hazardous Material to transport hazardous materials that require placarding)

• Two years of commercial driving experience compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations preferred

• Forklift certification preferred
