Job summary

White Cap is hiring immediately for a CDL A or B Driver in Illinois. You will coordinate and deliver products to customer jobsites, potentially using a truck-mounted forklift to unload, while strictly following DOT regulations and safety policies.

You will ensure accurate manifests and paperwork and may assist with order pulling as needed. The role requires at least one year of CDL driving experience and a valid license; forklift certification and Spanish language ability are preferred.

Qualifications

• CDL required with endorsements appropriate for equipment.
• Two years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred (optional).
• Spanish language proficiency helpful.

Responsibilities

• Delivers products to customer jobsites and coordinates routes.
• May use a truck-mounted forklift to unload shipments.

A_ CDL Driver at White Cap

• Coordinates and delivers products to customer jobsites.
• May use a truck-mounted forklift (Moffett or Piggyback) to unload shipments at customer jobsites.
• Follows DOT regulations in accordance with vehicle maintenance and operates with a strong sense of safety.
• Ensures that manifests and all paperwork are accurate.
• May assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment.
• Has a minimum of one year of CDL Driving experience and required state license.
• Performs other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Have a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state in which the candidate resides with all the relevant endorsements required for the type of equipment being operated (i.e., Hazardous Material to transport hazardous materials that require placarding)
• Two years of commercial driving experience compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations preferred
• Forklift certification preferred
• Spanish language proficiency
