Job summary

Imperial Brady is seeking a CDL Delivery Driver in Mesa, AZ to ensure accurate and timely deliveries while upholding safety and customer service standards. You will transport products using CDL-equipped trucks, assist with warehouse tasks, perform pre- and post-delivery inspections, and maintain documentation such as BOLs and packing slips.

A valid CDL, clean driving record, and excellent communication skills are required; HazMat or Air Brake endorsements are a plus.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a CDL driver.
• Delivery route experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Age 21 or older.
• Valid commercial driver's license and safe driving history (Class A or B).
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical certificate and pass a road test.
• HazMat or Air Brake Endorsement preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred or able to obtain upon hire.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills to operate transportation systems and data entry.
• Basic math skills to verify orders and reconcile delivery documents.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines, with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a straight truck, box truck or CMV (26,001+ pounds) to deliver to customer locations on assigned routes.
• Learn and optimize routes, ensure correct orders, and maintain required documentation (BOLs, manifests, packing slips, HazMat summaries).
• Conduct daily DVIR vehicle inspections and report issues promptly.
• Follow OSHA, DOT, FMCSA and company policies and maintain safety training; handle HazMat materials as needed.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and management; provide high-level customer service.
• Assist with preparing orders, loading/unloading, stocking inventory, and general warehouse tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

We are in search of a CDL Delivery Driver to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for accurate and timely deliveries while maintaining the highest of standards for safety and customer service. This position will transport products to customers and support with warehouse functions, to include preparing orders to be delivered, loading and unloading trucks, and managing inventory.

Responsibilities Include:

• Operate a straight truck, box truck or CMV (26,001 + pounds) to transport products to customer locations in assigned delivery route.
• Learn and optimize routes, ensure correct order fulfillment, and maintain proper documentation (BOLs, manifests, packing slips, HazMat summaries).
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections (DVIR), report issues immediately, and maintain cleanliness inside and out of assigned vehicle.
• Follow all OSHA, DOT, FMCSA and company policies, complete required safety training and properly handle HazMat materials.
• Wear company apparel as required, maintain a neat appearance and effectively communicate with dispatch, customers, and management.
• Take personal ownership of all customer needs with speed and urgency. Maintain the highest level of customer service.
• Assist with preparing orders, loading/unloading, stocking inventory, and general warehouse tasks as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required lift up to 50lbs and push/pull 100lbs. Regularly sit in a truck and drive a company vehicle. Ability to walk, climb, kneel, stoop and balance frequently.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a CDL driver
• Delivery route experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Age 21 or older
• Valid commercial driver's license and safe driving history; Class A or B required
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical certification and pass a road test and Clearinghouse Query
• HazMat or Air Brake Endorsement, preferred
• Prior forklift certification preferred, or ability to obtain upon hire
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Basic computer skills to operate transportation systems, dispatch applications or perform data entry tasks
• Basic math skills to verify orders or reconcile delivery documents
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and work overtime as needed
