Airgas is seeking a Microbulk Driver in Kentwood, MI. This CDL-B role focuses on safe loading and transporting CO2 products, with travel within West Michigan and Northern Indiana.

A sign-on bonus is offered, and Airgas provides a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance. Weekly schedule is first shift, Monday through Friday, with weekend work sometimes required to cover business needs.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with HazMat, tanker and Airbrake endorsements.
• Valid driver’s license, medical card and endorsements.
• No more than two traffic convictions in the last 3 years, or a combination of one conviction and one at-fault accident.
• No DUI within the last seven years.
• Must work in a drug-free environment.
• Able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with equipment.
• At least 1 year of CDL driving in the last 5 years or proof of trucking school completion.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip evaluations and document vehicle condition daily.
• Safely load, transport CO2 products and obtain required customer signatures.
• Travel 25%–50% within the region; accommodation and travel paid by Airgas when travel is required.

• Sign On Bonus: $5000.00
• Compensation: $27.00/HR
• Schedule: 1st shift- Monday-Friday
• Weekend availability is a requirement for business needs.

Airgas National Carbonation specializes in CO2. All ANC trucks are CDL B rated, utilize day-cab and slip seats. Availability for day shift, night shift, and weekends is required as needed to cover team and business shift needs.

• Ability to travel 25%- 50% of the time within the region, including layovers, with 1-2 weeks prior notice. When travel is expected, Airgas will pay for any hotel accommodations, flights, or car rentals. All ANC trucks are day cabs; layovers in sleeper cabs are not expected.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip evaluations and complete all required documentation of the assigned vehicle on a daily basis, following the company operating procedure.
• Responsible for the safe and accurate loading/unloading and transporting of CO2 products for servicing and obtaining required signatures from customers as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL or B CDL with HAZMAT, tanker & Airbrake endorsements
• Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card & endorsements
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years
• Must be able to work in a drug-free environment
• Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 5 years

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience driving
• CO2 or any specialty gas experience is a plus but not required
