Job summary

Republic Services Perry, KS is seeking a CDL-A Driver to safely operate heavy trucks and provide prompt disposal and container services. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, load refuse, and ensure compliant operation while servicing customers daily.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of two years of commercial driving experience, strong safety awareness, and reliable mechanical aptitude for minor on-site repairs. This is a full-time role with benefits and on-site work.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement.
  • Minimum two years of experience driving commercial trucks.
  • Ability to perform minor on-site repairs and inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections per policy.
  • Safely operate heavy truck along designated routes to disposal sites.
  • Load/unload refuse and operate compactor according to procedures.
  • Interact professionally with customers and dispatchers daily.
  • Identify unsatisfactory containers and tag them per procedures.

## Driver - CDL (A)Applylocations: Perry, KS, USAtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R-181358****POSITION SUMMARY:**** A Driver – CDL (A) is responsible for safely operating a heavy commercial truck, a tractor trailer or a straight truck with a pup trailer, or other vehicle requiring a class A CDL, to provide prompt and courteous delivery and removal of large containers. The Driver - CDL (A) is responsible for ensuring his or her vehicle is in compliance with the Company’s safety standards prior to operating the vehicle, ensures that all Company, state and federal regulations are adhered to at all times while operating the vehicle, and completes vehicle condition reports (“VCRs”) on a daily basis to ensure that any vehicle defects are repaired in a timely manner.****PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:****• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order.
