Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to deliver and recover a wide variety of equipment, tools, and supplies. The ideal candidate will have experience driving Class A trucks with flatbed or RGN trailers, ensuring safe operations in urban, suburban, rural, and construction settings.

This position includes physical demands such as lifting 50+ pounds and maintaining a customer-service attitude. Additional qualifications include a valid CDL and prior training with commercial equipment.

Qualifications

Job Description Summary

Class A CDL Driver

As a Class A CDL driver, you will deliver and recover a variety of equipment, tools and supplies to and from the customer worksite. You will generally drive a Class A truck hauling equipment on a flatbed (dovetail) or RGN (lowboy) trailer in a variety of conditions, including urban, suburban, rural settings. Ability to drive safely in tight settings such as construction zones is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and recover equipment, tools and supplies.
• Operate Class A truck with flatbed or RGN (lowboy) trailer.
• Drive safely in urban, suburban, rural, and construction zone settings.
• Troubleshoot and make minor repairs to equipment and vehicle at job sites.
• Maintain a customer‑service attitude.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with CDL and acceptable driver’s record.
• Prior training or experience with similar commercial equipment preferred.
• Experience driving flatbeds, RGN/lowboy, or dovetail trailers.
• Ability to work in tight settings such as construction zones.

Physical Demands

The role requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required.

Long haul driver, heavy haul driver, lowboy driver, equipment driver, equipment operator, owner‑operator, delivery driver.

Compensation

Base pay range: $29.77 – $44.66 per hour. Pay varies by position, location, education, training, and experience.
