Job summary

GXO Logistics is hiring CDL Drivers to be home daily while delivering freight with 53ft tractors and maintaining accurate logs. Start times range between 5pm and 6pm, with competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one.

Pay rates begin at $24.00 per hour (stop rate) and $38.50 per hour for non-route work, with opportunities for rate increases and strong PTO/holiday benefits. Join GXO, a global leader in supply chain solutions.

Qualifications

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A experience.
• A current valid driver’s license and clean driving record over the past 2 years.
• A current valid CDL A and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate, transfer and deliver freight utilizing 53ft Tractor trailer in and out of loading doors.
• Operate material handling equipment to load and unload materials in a safe manner
• Maintain required documentation, including daily logs, vehicle inspection records, mileage, unloading and shipping records
• Conduct thorough and accurate pre-trip and post-trip inspections and provide documentation upon completion; ensure proper closure of trailers
• Provide basic equipment maintenance and report equipment malfunctions as necessary
• Properly secure loads and ensure all loads are within weight limits
• Maintain housekeeping within assigned tractor/trailer and defined areas
• Inspect trailers to be moved to verify condition
• Work safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices

• Pay rates starting at $24.00 Stop Rate (piece rate) includes both the pre-trip inspection and post -trip inspection. $38.50/ per hour is for non route work including training, meetings, moving trailers on the yard.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A experience
• A current valid driver’s license and clean driving record over the past 2 years
• A current valid CDL A and clean driving record

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
