Job summary

FerrouSouth, a leading steel processor in Iuka, Mississippi, is seeking an experienced CDL Class A driver for long-haul deliveries. You will load, transport, and unload materials while adhering to DOT rules and ensuring loads are secured and delivered on time.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum 1 year of Class A driving experience preferred.
• Good MVR (motor vehicle record) required.
• Ability to safely operate tractor-trailers and transport materials.
• Ability to lift, bend, secure loads, and perform physical job duties.
• Strong attention to safety and compliance.
• Dependable with strong time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport materials to customers and company locations.
• Safely load, transport, and unload materials, ensuring proper securement of all loads.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any issues.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and required documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch, customers, and operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Adhere to assigned delivery routes and schedules.
• Ensure materials are delivered in good condition and meet customer requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and general condition of assigned vehicle.
• Follow all safety procedures while handling materials, including bending, lifting, strapping, and securing loads.
• Report accidents, delays, or issues promptly to management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
