Job summary

Devonshire by Erickson Senior Living in Palm Beach Gardens, FL is hiring a FT Driver (CDL) to transport residents, staff and visitors within the gated community. Mon-Fri 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; CDL Class C with passenger endorsement required; duties include pre/post-trip inspections and helping passengers board.

Compensation $19/hour, with benefits including medical/dental/vision, PTO, 401k with 3% match, and opportunities for growth as we expand communities.

Qualifications

• Transport residents, staff, and visitors safely.
• Must be at least 21 years old to drive.
• Current and valid CDL Class C with passenger endorsement.
• Ability to operate vehicles with wheelchair ramps and lifts.
• Minimum of three years of verifiable driving experience.
• Current DOT Physical/Medical Examiner’s Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents, staff, and visitors on scheduled and unscheduled appointments.
• Operate vehicles equipped with wheelchair ramps and lifts.
• Operate passenger buses and sedans.
• Assist passengers with boarding and off-boarding from the vehicle.
• Prepare vehicles for usage, including pre/post-trip inspections, refueling, and related tasks.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Log and track vehicle usage.

Monday thru Friday

8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

How you will make an impact

• Transport residents, staff, and visitors on scheduled and unscheduled appointments

What you will need

• Previous transportation services experience preferred
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age to drive
• Current and valid Commercial Driver’s License Class C (or higher) with passenger endorsement is required. This license must be maintained as a condition of employment.
• Ability to operate vehicles equipped with wheelchair ramps and lifts, including securement systems
• Minimum of three 3 years of verifiable driving experience as noted through a driving record check
• Current and valid D.O.T. Physical/Medical Examiner’s Certificate. This certificate must be maintained as a condition of employment.
