Job summary

White Cap, a leading North American distributor for professional contractors, is hiring a CDL A or B Driver in California. You will deliver products to customer jobsites, possibly using a truck-mounted forklift, while adhering to DOT regulations and safety standards.

The role is on-site with attractive shifts and comprehensive benefits. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of CDL driving, a valid state license, and strong safety awareness.

Qualifications

• CDL A or B with appropriate endorsements (Hazardous Materials optional).
• Two years of commercial driving experience preferred and compliant with FMCSA/DOT regulations.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver products to customer jobsites.
• May use a truck-mounted forklift (Moffett or Piggyback) to unload shipments.
• Follow DOT regulations and maintain safety practices.
• Ensure manifests and paperwork are accurate.
• Assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment.

A CDL Driver at White Cap…

• Coordinates and delivers products to customer jobsites.
• May use a truck-mounted forklift (Moffett or Piggyback) to unload shipments at customer jobsites.
• Follows DOT regulations in accordance with vehicle maintenance and operates with a strong sense of safety.
• Ensures that manifests and all paperwork are accurate.
• May assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment.
• Has a minimum of one year of CDL Driving experience and required state license.
• Performs other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Have a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state in which the candidate resides with all the relevant endorsements required for the type of equipment being operated (i.e., Hazardous Material to transport hazardous materials that require placarding)
• Two years of commercial driving experience compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations preferred
• Forklift certification preferred
• Spanish language proficiency
