At LifeSpire of Virginia Independent Living and LifeSpire of Virginia Assisted Living, we care for our residents and provide them with access to additional services provided by LifeSpire of Virginia Health & Rehab Center through a partnership agreement with Hill Valley Healthcare (the operators of LifeSpire of Virginia Health & Rehab). We provide care coordination for our residents and team members as both communities work together to provide consistent, quality care through the full continuum of care for all LifeSpire of Virginia residents.

General Overview:
This position is responsible for transporting residents to activities, events, and appointments when needed.
Job Requirements:
Primarily available nights and weekends for activities, appointments, or events.
Occasional day hours are available when short-handed and coverage is needed.
Coordinate and communicate with residents regarding their appointment time (personal and medical) and what times LifeSpire of Virginia will pick up and drop off.
Inspect and maintain supplies and equipment. This includes but is not limited to gas, oil, and tire pressure. Reports necessary maintenance or problems encountered with vehicles.
Participates in on-the-job training and regular in-service training sessions; completes all mandatory in-services.
Education and/or Experience:
Must possess a current driver’s license in good standing through the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred but not required.
Must possess good communication skills.

Occasionally push/pull or lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Dexterity to operate vehicles and standard office equipment.
