Description

The Delivery Driver (CDL A) is responsible for the delivery of insulation products to job sites based on a provided schedule. This includes ensuring on-time delivery and professional interaction with customers at delivery sites. Assisting in the warehouse with production and moving materials and products may also be required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers products within a pre-determined schedule at the appropriate job site.
• Loads and unloads trucks of products and materials.
• Ensures truck maintenance standards are met.
• Performs daily pre-trip inspections, including completing pre-inspection forms and minor maintenance as needed.
• Reports mechanical or maintenance issues to the Plant Manager immediately.
• Completes daily DOT logs in compliance with regulations.
• Processes paperwork such as tickets and bills of lading.
• Ensures customer signatures on receipts and collects COD charges when specified.
• Verifies material counts upon delivery to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Escalates issues discovered during delivery to the Plant Manager immediately.
• Assists with production in the plant when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
• Moves, picks up, and drops off trailers as necessary.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL (Class A) license in compliance with company policy and DOT regulations.
• Three years of verifiable experience driving a tractor/trailer or straight truck.
• Ability to meet all DOT regulations for med card maintenance.
• Maintains a valid license and acceptable driving record as per insurance requirements.
