Job summary

North Side YMCA is hiring for a transportation-focused role. You will provide transportation to and from the North Side YMCA and elementary schools using YMCA 14-passenger vans, working in a high-energy environment that requires constant positive interaction with children.

Requirements include CPR/AED/O2/First Aid certifications, a passion for working with kids, being 21+, possessing a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, and willingness to attend YMCA trainings and adhere to dress

Qualifications

• Must be certified in PR/CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid.
• Must have an interest in, and like children and support YMCA philosophy.
• Must be 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must attend all scheduled YMCA trainings and uphold appearance guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with members, donors and volunteers.
• Establish a positive relationship with each child.
• Ensure the safety and well being of all children.
• Report all injuries and incidences to the site coordinator.
• Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings to help plan activities.
• Develop positive relationships with parents and staff.
• Display YMCA core values (Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility at all times).
• Position may require work outside the regularly scheduled program hours.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• No CDL Required!
• To provide transportation to and from the North Side YMCA and elementary schools utilizing the YMCA 14 passenger vans.
• This is a very high energy program, requiring positive interaction with the children continually throughout the shift.
