Job summary

Goodwill Industries Of Dallas seeks an experienced Driver to safely transport donations, equipment, and supplies across the Dallas Metroplex on a full-time, day-shift basis. The role requires a clean driving record, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and manual transmission truck operation.

You will follow schedules, log daily trips, load/unload goods, and maintain professionalism with customers and coworkers. A valid Texas CDL-B and Medical Certification are required with MVR checks performed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous driving experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Texas Class B CDL and Medical Certification card required.
• Must pass MVR check and maintain a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission truck.
• Must pass driver assessment.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Reliable transportation and communication required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain punctual and dependable attendance.
• Follow assigned schedule, including days and hours.
• Adhere to attendance policies; clock in/out as scheduled.
• Deliver donations, equipment, and supplies to Goodwill stores.
• Pick up salvage and trash from stores and return to the main plant.
• Collect donations from Attended Donation Centers and special pick-up locations.
• Transport store shipments and return items safely and timely.
• Follow special delivery or pick-up instructions from supervisor.
• Complete accurate daily trip logs and pre/post-trip inspection checklists.
• Ensure equipment count matches dispatch instructions.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Deliver interoffice correspondence between corporate office and stores.
• Assist with warehouse or production tasks as needed.
• Operate baling machine safely to bale textiles.
• Report vehicle or trailer repair needs promptly.
• Avoid idle time unless warranted.
• Maintain professional conduct with customers, coworkers, and the public.
• Follow all safety policies and attend required safety meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Use of hand truck and pallet jack required. This is a safety-sensitive position; no impairment from drugs, alcohol, or medications is permitted.

Work Environment

Work primarily in warehouse, retail store, donation center, and truck environments. Exposure to dust, mold, dirt, pollen, extreme temperatures, and severe weather. May include evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Can be stressful during peak seasons or poor weather conditions. Moderate noise level. Typically works 40+ hours per week.
