Job summary

TPH Holdings LLC (XL Parts and The Parts House) seeks a delivery driver to follow dispatcher schedules, load vehicles, and deliver parts to customers' businesses on a fixed route.

You will collect payments from COD customers, sign receipts, perform weekly vehicle checks, and assist with warehouse duties when not on route. Equal Opportunity Employer with background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license for the appropriate state.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Able to work in wet and/or humid conditions and use ladders.
• Exposure to warehouse environment and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Review dispatcher’s daily schedule and delivery route.
• Deliver parts to customer sites on scheduled routes and collect COD payments.
• Load vehicles, sign in/out of dispatch system, and record transactions.
• Complete customer signatures and return goods forms as needed.
• Perform weekly vehicle maintenance checks and report needs.
• Assist with warehouse duties such as stocking shelves when not on route.

Job description

Drives truck or automobile along established route to deliver and sell products, render services, collect money from customers, and complete the following tasks:

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Review the daily schedule provided by the dispatcher.
• Check the accuracy of parts to the invoice.
• Load vehicles and inform dispatchers of completion.
• Sign in and out of TPH’s dispatching system before and after deliveries.
• Drive vehicle to deliver parts to the customer’s place of business per scheduled route.
• Collect customer returns, empty containers and unsold merchandise.
• Collect payment from COD customers and record transactions on customer receipts.
• Issue or obtain customer signature on receipt for pickup delivery.
• Listen to customer questions and concerns and communicate them to the Dispatcher upon return.
• Create Returned Goods Forms (RFG) for any returned product. Completely fill them out and provide a signed, pink copy to the customer.
• Perform weekly vehicle maintenance checks every Monday morning, or as needed; report needed maintenance to the Location Manager or Dispatcher.
• Clean inside of truck every Friday afternoon, or as needed.
• Assist with warehouse duties when not on routes, such as stocking shelves or racks.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s licensefor the appropriate state
• Must be 21
• Able to work/ drive in wet and/or humid conditions.
• Able to use ladders for pulling parts and be exposed to outside weather conditions and forklifts in the warehouse.

Environmental/Occupational Health and Physical Requirements :

Occasional heavy lifting of 50 lbs. or more may be required. The ability to work in a warehouse environment (Heat, Cold, Dust, etc.) will be required. Must be able to climb a ladder and be exposed to heights of 6 ft. or greater.
