Job Title: Driver Assistant

Job Summary:

St. Vincent de Paul is seeking a dedicated Driver Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support our drivers in safely transporting goods and materials to various locations.

Responsibilities:
  • Help the truck driver on pick-up routes designated by the manager;
  • Load merchandise into the truck by hand following designated procedures to make unloading trucks as efficient as possible;
  • Follow operating procedures for accepting donations and ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Must be able to communicate in a courteous way and represent our company in a positive manner;
  • Assist with warehouse processing of donations;
  • Assist with inventory during down times;
  • Assist with maintaining donation workstations;
  • Assist with seasonal inventory;
  • Must be able to lift 50 - 75 pounds. Some weekend work required.
  • Be helpful and courteous to colleagues and customers.
Qualifications:
  • Able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Willing to do other duties as requested.
  • Ability to work in a team setting with other workers.
Requirements:
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate varying shifts.
Preferred Skills:
  • Valid driver's license.
