Job summary

Juniper is seeking an Agronomy Technician in Florida to safely apply fertilization and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) on our landscape maintenance properties. You will diagnose turf and ornamental issues, mix and apply fertilizers and pesticides, and ensure safe operation of equipment while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Diagnose turf and ornamental issues and provide treatments.
• Follow label instructions and regulatory rules for chemical applications.
• Prepare and mix products safely and accurately.
• Operate tools and equipment and follow safety requirements.
• Keep accurate records of products used and work performed.

Responsibilities

• Identifying, diagnosing, and treating turf and ornamental issues as they arise
• Applying fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and insecticides as needed to lawns, shrubs and plant material in accordance with accepted industry practices, safety procedures, label instructions, and rules and requirements of various Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies
• Preparing and mixing products according to label instructions and product specifications, and using in accordance with prescribed safety precautions and directions
• Ensuring the safe and proper operation of tools, vehicles, and equipment; adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Maintaining cleanliness of vehicle and equipment
• Maintaining accurate records of products used
• Completing all required correspondence regarding work orders
• Retention of customers through rapport, communication, and met expectations
• Using hand tools, power tools and/or equipment to perform IPM duties
• Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
