Job summary

Juniper is seeking an Agronomy Technician to ensure safe and accurate fertilization and IPM for our landscape maintenance properties. You will identify turf and ornamental issues and apply fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and IPM products in accordance with label instructions and safety rules.

Responsibilities also include preparing and mixing products, operating tools and equipment safely, keeping precise records, and communicating with customers to retain trust.

Qualifications

• Experience or familiarity with turf and ornamental plant care is a plus.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and label instructions.
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Identifying, diagnosing, and treating turf and ornamental issues as they arise


• Applying fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and insecticides as needed to lawns, shrubs and plant material in accordance with accepted industry practices, safety procedures, label instructions, and rules and requirements of various Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies


• Preparing and mixing products according to label instructions and product specifications, and using in accordance with prescribed safety precautions and directions


• Ensuring the safe and proper operation of tools, vehicles, and equipment; adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements


• Maintaining cleanliness of vehicle and equipment


• Maintaining accurate records of products used


• Completing all required correspondence regarding work orders


• Retention of customers through rapport, communication, and met expectations


• Using hand tools, power tools and/or equipment to perform IPM duties


• Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
