Job summary

GXO Logistics in California seeks a professional driver to deliver daily freight solutions. You will work the Afternoon Shift, 03:00pm - 11:30pm, with potential to be home after the shift. The role emphasizes safety, timely communication, and customer service, supporting GXO’s logistics leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of driving experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 5 consecutive years of driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the assigned truck/trailer is placarded to meet DOT regulations.
• Coordinate work assignments with immediate supervisor to complete orders.
• Communicate work stoppages, equipment failures and problems promptly.
• Maintain driving speeds, trip reports and logbooks.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers.

Shift

Afternoon Shift, Monday - Friday, 03:00pm - 11:30pm

Position

As a Driver, you will have a starring role as you provide daily freight solutions for our customers. In this position, you'll be able to spend time at home at the end of your shift.

The hourly pay rate for this is $24.00. GXO, in good faith, believes this is the pay rate for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted rate and this rate is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California.

This rate may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for hourly shift differential. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and other benefits to eligible employees.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Ensure the assigned truck/trailer is always properly placarded to meet DOT regulations
• Coordinate work assignments with immediate supervisor to ensure customer orders are completed
• Communicate all work stoppages, equipment failures and significant work-related problems to your immediate supervisor in a timely manner
• Maintain adequate driving speeds, trip reports and logbooks
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

• 1 year of driving experience

It'd be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 consecutive years of driving experience

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. occasionally
