Job summary

Cantex Senior Communities is seeking a Van Driver to transport Center Residents to prearranged medical appointments and scheduled outings. The role requires maintaining vehicle documentation, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and coordinating with center leadership.

Qualifications include a valid Texas Driver's License, no major driving violations, CNA certification, and current CPR training. Strong English communication is essential for daily operations and resident interactions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English clearly.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver's License and pass DMV driving record inquiry.
• No outstanding criminal or civil citations on record.
• Certified Nursing Assistant credential required.
• Current CPR training card required.

Responsibilities

• Complete competency training checklist.
• Maintain vehicle documents and required logs (ownership, insurance, maintenance, fuel).
• Ensure vehicle registration, inspection, and insurance are current.
• Coordinate weekly vehicle usage with the Executive Director and DON.
• Keep the vehicle clean and in good repair; ensure proper maintenance per manual.
• Adhere to Cantex Senior Communities abuse prevention policies.

Job Summary

The overall purpose of the Van Driver position is to transport Center Residents to prearranged physician and/or dialysis appointments and/or to transport Residents on scheduled outings arranged by the Center.

Qualifications

• Have a valid Texas Drivers License
• Pass inquiry from DMV of driving record
• Must have no outstanding criminal/civil citations
• Must have a Certified Nursing Assistant
• Must have a current CPR Training Card
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language

Essential Functions

• Must successfully complete Competency Training Checklist.
• Must always maintain within the vehicle, documents required for operation. This includes but is not limited to ownership information, proof of insurance and required maintenance, gas, and usage logs.
• Assure that the vehicles registration, inspection, and insurance are always current.
• Maintain and coordinate a weekly usage schedule with the Executive Director and DON.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle (exterior and interior) and assure that the vehicle is in good repair and in full compliance with all recommended maintenance as per vehicle operating manual.
• Has reviewed Cantex Senior Communities Clinical Policies and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and knows the employees responsibility to enforce it.
