Job summary

ALS is seeking a reliable courier to support lab operations. You will drive company vans, coordinate pickups and deliveries with clients, receive and log samples, and assist with bottle prep and shipping. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a laboratory setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide courier services via company vans and coordinate with clients.
  • Assist with client sample receipt and login at the lab.
  • Support inventory control, stocking, and ordering activities.
  • Maintain vehicle logs and perform daily/monthly vehicle inspections.
  • Support bottle preparation, shipping, and sample management teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by site supervisor.

About the role
  • Provide courier services via the company vans.
  • Coordinate pickups & deliveries with the project management team and company clients.
  • Assist with client sample receipt at the lab.
  • Assist with sample login at the lab.
  • Assist with other client service activities as assigned by the site supervisor.
  • Maintain proper service on assigned company vehicle.
  • Assist with bottle preparation & shipping and sample management teams.
  • Assist with inventory control activities including receiving, supply ordering, stocking, and inventory auditing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and directed.
  • Maintain and complete mileage logs documenting each use of a Company‑Owned vehicle, as directed, and where required.
  • Perform, record and maintain the daily and monthly inspections as required.
About you
  • Qualified applicants must have a clean driving record.
  • Must comply with company dress policy for client service positions.
  • Individuals must have a demonstrated ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and written.
  • Candidate must be detail oriented and able to closely follow laboratory procedures.
  • Candidate must be organized and effectively manage time commitments.
  • Good typing / data entry skills are required.
  • Applicant should be familiar with general scientific terminology.
  • Ability to multi‑task and work as part of a team.
  • Position requires a flexible schedule to meet client & laboratory needs.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma.
  • Some college level science related classes or prior laboratory experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a background/driving check/drug test.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Clean driving record for 3 years.
Physical Demands
  • The ability to operate a motor vehicle in heavy traffic situations.
  • Able to speak and hear clearly while communicating with clients.
  • Dexterity in hands and fingers to operate equipment and handle glassware.
  • Able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must have average vision and be able to see to read reports and operate equipment.
  • Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
  • The ability to stand for intervals of up to 2 hours while working.
  • Be able to drive for 3‑4 hours a day without distractions.
