Job summary

McLane is hiring a CDL-A Delivery Driver in Michigan to move, load, and deliver products to customers. You will inspect, drive, and manage documentation while ensuring DOT compliance and safe operation of the vehicle.

This role offers day-one medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, and additional benefits. A reliable, safety-focused teammate with valid CDL-A and driving experience is encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age
• Valid Class A CDL (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects and report via DOT inspection
• Verify bill of lading and keys for accuracy during off-hour delivery
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination following regulations and safe practices
• Maintain driver log per DOT regulations and document temperatures and exceptions
• Unload trailer and deliver products to customer premises
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
