McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver for the Dayton area to move products to customers on a reliable schedule. This role emphasizes safety, timely deliveries, and compliance with DOT rules.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT report.
• Verify bill of lading and keys for accuracy during off-hours deliveries.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destinations adhering to regulations and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate driver logs per DOT regulations and document delivery details.
• Unload products at customer premises and complete all assigned tasks.

• Pay Rate: $80,000 to $90,000, while our top earners make up to $110,000 .
• Sign-on bonus: Up to $10,000, depending on experience.

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
