Job summary

Superior Fence & Rail in Illinois is seeking a Commercial Driver/Materials Delivery specialist to safely operate a flatbed truck and manage over-the-road routes between two warehouses and job sites. You will load/unload fencing materials, perform vehicle inspections, and coordinate with the warehouse to ensure timely deliveries.

The role requires experience in commercial trucking, proper handling techniques, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• CDL license preferred.
• Plan and execute OTR driving routes using GPS navigation.
• Ability to load & unload freight using forklift or manual handling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial flatbed truck

• Load and unload freight efficiently using manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts

• Communicate delivery status with warehouse manager

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial flatbed truck
• Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across multiple locations
• Load and unload freight efficiently using manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts, ensuring cargo safety and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
• Load & unload cargo accurately, managing logistics cargo handling processes for fencing materials
• Communicate effectively with the warehouse manager to update delivery status
• CDL license preferred

Experience

• Experience in commercial truck driving is a plus
• Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklift or manual handling techniques while maintaining cargo integrity
