Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. is seeking a Driver to operate company vehicles for safe and timely product delivery from Savannah, GA. You will drive daily routes, verify deliveries, and support warehouse staff. The role requires CDL with Hazmat as needed and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CDL with Hazmat endorsement, as needed.
• 1 year of delivery truck driving experience.
• 1 year of forklift and warehouse experience.
• 1 year of customer service experience, preferred.
• Proficiency in computer and inventory systems, preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Maintain a satisfactory driving record as determined by Company Driver Policies.
• Meet federal and state requirements to operate the vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver product to locations safely and efficiently by driving short and long distances.
• Coordinate with management on safe and efficient delivery routes.
• Verify at delivery that the correct product was delivered in satisfactory condition.
• Load and unload the truck as needed.
• Maintain required certifications per DOT, OSHA, and company programs.
• Complete shipping papers and Hazmat paperwork as required.
• Perform pre- and post-trip truck inspections and maintain records.
• Notify management of safety issues with company vehicles.
• Provide support to Warehouse Associates and participate in training.
• Work overtime as assigned and cooperate with others.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Job Purpose: The purpose of the Driver is to operate company vehicles to deliver product in a safe and timely manner.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver specified product to various locations in a safe and efficient manner by driving short and long distances during the day
• Coordinate with management to ensure safe and efficient delivery routes
• Verify with the customer at the time of delivery that the correct product was delivered in satisfactory condition
• Perform loading and unloading of the truck as needed
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs
• Ensure all required paperwork, including but not limited to shipping papers and Hazmat paperwork, is accurately completed and in possession
• Perform pre- and post-trip truck inspections
• Maintain truck maintenance records
• Notify management of any safety issues with company vehicles
• Provide support to Warehouse Associates
• Participate in after-hours training classes
• Work overtime as assigned
• Work cooperatively with others
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
