Job summary

Winebow is seeking a professional delivery driver to operate company trucks, ensure safe transport of our wines and spirits, and provide exceptional customer service on each delivery and pickup route. A CDL-B is preferred for eligibility in NY/NJ/IL, with a valid DOT medical card and at least one year of driving experience.

The role requires commitment to safety, timely paperwork, and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL-B preferred for NY/NJ/IL.
• Valid and unexpired DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum of one year of truck driving experience.
• Operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Operate company-owned and leased trucks to ship and receive products.
• Deliver and pick up Winebow’s products.
• Complete required pre/ during/ post-operation maintenance and reports.
• Prepare and submit all required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup.
• Report variances to the local dispatcher.
• Operates material handling equipment (MHE).
• Maintain required certifications per DOT, OSHA and safety programs.
• Keep company property in excellent condition.

The starting salary range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00 per hour. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package of medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, 401k with company match, and paid time off. If you are hired at Winebow, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Operate company owned and leased trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving operations
• Operate trucks for the delivery and pickup of Winebow’s products
• Perform required before-, during-, and after-operation “user maintenance” and provide required reports
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
• Report any variances/discrepancies to local dispatcher.
• Operate all MHE.
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT, OSHA, and Company safety programs.
• Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you in excellent condition.
• Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.
• Meets agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner.
• Ability to work more than 40 hours per week.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Follows all safety policies and procedures; communicate hazards and/or suggest improvements to Manager
• Other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Prolonged sitting, driving, ability to work in severe weather conditions; both heat and cold, constant travel by automobile

EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY USED:

Driver; Pallet jack, forklift, hand truck, office equipment (including computer/tablet, printer, photocopier etc.), telephone

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Manual dexterity, visual acuity, reaching, bending, and lifting and moving up to 50 lbs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid Driver’s License. CDL-B required in NJ/NY/IL
• Valid and unexpired DOT Medical Card
• Minimum of one-year experience as truck driver
• Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times
