Palm Point Behavioral Health in Titusville, FL is seeking a Driver/Transporter to move patients to and from the facility, ensure vehicles are safe, clean, and well-maintained, and deliver high-quality non-medical patient transport with courteous, responsive service in a busy hospital environment.

This role supports the Maintenance Department as needed and helps uphold patient comfort and safety standards, coordinating routes, logging mileage, and reporting any vehicle issues promptly to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to transport patients safely and with care.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from the facility while maintaining safety.
• Coordinate pick-up/drop-off routes and log daily mileage.
• Keep vehicles clean, fueled, and in good working order; report issues.
• Assist Maintenance Department as needed during shifts.

Palm Point Behavioral Health (affiliated with Universal Health Services) is a 74-bed behavioral health hospital is located in Titusville, Florida minutes from Cape Canaveral. Palm Point Behavioral Health treats adults, children and adolescents that suffer from a wide range of behavioral health diagnoses including, depression, anxiety and substance abuse in a modern and well-appointed facility. Palm Point behavioral health offers inpatient treatment options and serve communities in Brevard County and beyond. Titusville, located on Florida’s Space Coast, is approximately 30-miles north of historic Cocoa Beach, and 40-miles east of Orlando’s famous theme parks. Palm Point is looking for a Driver/transporter who will be responsible for transporting patients to and from the facility, assures vehicles are in proper working order and clean, provides high quality non-mdeical patient care and ambulatory transportation while providing exceptional customer service.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the transportation continumn.
• Coordinates patient pick-up and drop-off routes and completes daily milage log.
• Ensures all safety measures are adhered to in the vehicle.
• Maintains vehicle and equipment in a clean, organized and ready condition after each transport. Ensures proper fuel, fluid and tire pressure levels at all times. Reports equipment damage or malfunctions to the Director of Plant Operations.
• Assists with duties and assignments in the Maintenance Department as requested and assigned.
