Job summary

Barneys Brandon in Tampa, FL seeks a reliable Driver to support the Service Department by transporting marine products and assisting technicians. You will drive to specified locations, load and unload items, perform basic unit prep, and help maintain dealership lot and trucks.

Candidates must have at least two years of marine-related experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to be approved by dealership’s insurance based on MVR.

  • Provide prompt, dependable, high-quality service to internal and external customers.

  • Adhere to all driving laws.
  • Transfer units in and out of the Service Department.
  • Forklift operations.
  • Wash/Detail all units.
  • Unload new units off freight trucks.
  • Assembly and PDI of new units.
  • Maintain the entire lot.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Summary Description

Drive to and from specific locations to pick up and drop off marine products, parts, accessories and other specified items by Service Manager and General Manager. Moves cleans and keeps marine products in sound working condition and assists Service Technicians and the Service Manager as requested.

Duties and Responsibilities

Physical Demands
  • May be required to drive long distances.
  • Requires the use of both hands.
  • Frequently required to bend, stop, crouch, reach, handle tools, and lift 50lbs of material.
Working Conditions
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • Potential exposure to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department.
  • Occasionally exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.
  • Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.

In addition to the outlined essential job functions, the employee is required to complete all additional tasks assigned by his/her supervisor, as the supervisor sees fit for the position. Failure to comply will result in immediate discipline at the discretion of dealership management.
