Job summary

Medstar Transportation's Around the Sound division is hiring drivers to assist with transporting patients and clients using wheelchair-accessible vehicles. Full-time shifts, open availability, and rotating on-call duties.

Candidates must be 21+ with a valid license, clean driving record, and must pass DOT drug screening and background checks. Duties include pre/post inspections, dispatch communication, and safe client transport.

Qualifications

• Be over 21 years old and licensed for at least 5 years.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and pass DOT drug screening.
• Clean driving record with limited moving violations.

Responsibilities

You will be working with Around the Sound, a subsidiary of Medstar Transportation.

SHIFT REQUIRED: Full‑time – open availability required; must be able to work any shift assigned.

Job Summary

We are hiring drivers to assist with various services such as transporting patients and other clients. Medstar provides several types of contracted transportation using wheelchair-accessible vans, buses, or sedans. These may include non‑emergency medical transportation, ADA paratransit, fixed‑route transportation, shuttle services, Lift and ProMaster transports, cot and stretcher trips and rides with children.

Requirements

• Be over the age of 21 (licensed for at least 5 years)
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Must NOT have more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years
• Must pass a DOT drug screening and mandatory criminal background check
• Must be physically able to secure clients in wheelchairs or other devices
• Must have a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others
• Must be available to drive varying shifts and rotational on‑call duties as assigned, based on operational needs
