Job summary

Medstar Transportation, through Around the Sound, is hiring drivers to transport patients and clients using wheelchair-accessible vans, buses, or sedans. This full-time role requires open availability to work any shift and participate in rotational on-call duties.

Applicants must be 21+, have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, pass a DOT drug screen and background check, and be able to secure clients. Benefits include health insurance, bonuses, PTO, holidays, and more.

Qualifications

You will be working with Around the Sound, a subsidiary of Medstar Transportation.

SHIFT REQUIRED: Full‑time – open availability required; must be able to work any shift assigned.

Job Summary

We are hiring drivers to assist with various services such as transporting patients and other clients. Medstar provides several types of contracted transportation using wheelchair-accessible vans, buses, or sedans. These may include non‑emergency medical transportation, ADA paratransit, fixed‑route transportation, shuttle services, Lift and ProMaster transports, cot and stretcher trips and rides with children.

Requirements

• Be over the age of 21 (licensed for at least 5 years)
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Must NOT have more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years
• Must pass a DOT drug screening and mandatory criminal background check
• Must be physically able to secure clients in wheelchairs or other devices
• Must have a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others
• Must be available to drive varying shifts and rotational on‑call duties as assigned, based on operational needs
