Job summary

Superior Plus Propane in the United States seeks a Propane Bobtail Driver responsible for the safe, timely delivery of propane to customers. Load, unload, and deliver, while maintaining the vehicle and delivering excellent service with strong safety practices.

The requirements include CDL Class B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, a current DOT medical certification, and at least one year of delivery experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience.
• CDL Class B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsement.
• Current DOT medical certification.
• Legal authorization to work in the US; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane to and from containers for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology to monitor transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; print delivery tickets.
• Accurately complete and submit daily driver reports where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to high safety standards; perform pre/post vehicle and site inspections.
• Collaborate with Dispatcher for routing and scheduling; report issues immediately.
• Overtime hours may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Propane Bobtail Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience
• CDL Class B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsement
• Current DOT medical certification
• Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening

The hourly rate for this position is $26.00 - $28.00 per hour.

This role will be eligible for overtime pay once scheduled work week hours are met.

When applicable, this role is eligible for an on-call incentive stipend.

T his position is also eligible for a quarterly/annual incentive program.
