Job summary

Oakmont Management Group in San Ramon, CA is seeking a Driver Class C with Passenger Endorsements to transport residents safely on outings and events. You will assist with loading residents, follow traffic laws, and maintain a safe vehicle and community environment.

Qualifications include 21+, high school diploma, Class B or C with Passenger Endorsement, and strong customer service. Vaccinations/health screenings may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive the bus.
• Prefer two years of experience driving a vehicle transporting people.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication with employees, supervisors, physicians, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests.
• Vaccination/health surveillance and PPE requirements may apply per regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, and resident appointments.
• Assist with safe loading of residents and belongings onto/off community vehicles.
• Follow all state and federal driving laws.
• Maintain vehicle inspection and safe driving standards; be punctual and safe in transporting residents.
• Act as activity staff on outings and within the community.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests; follow safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with colleagues and other departments.

The Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe driving of the community’s vehicles and supervision of the residents during community outings or trips. Additionally, they may assist in setting up and breaking down activities and events in the Community, in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities:

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, special activities, and personal resident appointments.
• Assist with the safe loading of residents and their belongings onto and off-of-community vehicles.
• Follow all state and federal laws when operating community vehicles.
• Comply with standards and processes for proper vehicle inspection and driving. Demonstrate safe driving in getting residents transported. Observes speed limits yet are still punctual and safe in transporting people.
• Act as a member of the activity staff when on outings/excursions and within the community.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have either a Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive the bus
• Prefer two (2) years of experience driving a vehicle/van/bus transporting people.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
