Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living is seeking a Driver for its Ivy Park community in Livermore, California. This role involves safely operating community vehicles for resident outings and appointments, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulations.

Ideal candidates will possess a Class B or C license with a Passenger Endorsement, along with strong customer service and communication skills. The position offers a pay range of $20.00-$21.00 an hour, reflecting the commitment to providing a supportive environment for both residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prefer two (2) years of experience driving a vehicle/van/bus transporting people.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests.

Position: Driver - Class B or Class C with Passenger endorsement required.

Shifts, Time, and Days: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM/Varies, Sunday-Thursday.

Pay Range: $20.00-$21.00 an hour.

Responsibilities

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, special activities, and personal resident appointments.
• Assist with the safe loading of residents and their belongings onto and off community vehicles.
• Follow all state and federal laws when operating community vehicles.
• Comply with standards and processes for proper vehicle inspection and driving. Demonstrate safe driving in transporting residents while observing speed limits and maintaining punctuality and safety.
• Act as a member of the activity staff during outings/excursions and within the community.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have either a Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive the bus.
• Prefer two (2) years of experience driving a vehicle/van/bus transporting people.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
